What is CBD Oil good for and what does it do? CBD Oil to try in the UK

CBD has won a popular place with the adult UK public and is fast becoming a common sight online and on the high street. But how does it benefit our bodies and what does it do exactly?

Tomas Biroscik is the Managing Director of Hemp Point and here he provides some notes for those wanting to discover more about this popular wellness trend.

Hemp Point launched over two years ago and has since grown a loyal client base thanks to its commitment to high quality customer care, organic CBD Oils, and competitive prices. It is one of Germany’s popular CBD Oil companies with a brand called Hanfosan, which is expanding here in the UK.

Tomas is also an afficiendo on CBD Oil products and says the most important thing to remember when purchasing any CBD product is transparency and doing your homework.

What is CBD oil good for?

Tomas said he believes passionately in CBD and wants to help other people who are looking to get started with their CBD journey.

He said: “CBD may aid relaxation. Many people who take CBD report that it can aid them in feeling more relaxed. And, alongside this, many CBD users also think that the CBD they take can contribute to easing feelings of discomfort, which can impact just about every area of your daily life and contribute to a better wellbeing.’’

Know what you are buying

It’s important to always buy your CBD products from reputable retailers

As we all know shopping online is convenient, but tread carefully if you intend to buy CBD Oil UK online. According to Tomas there are a lot of substandard CBD brands and CBD products online so you should do your research and get as much information as possible to make sure you buy the most credible CBD Oil.

Tomas said: “Make sure you buy CBD oils and CBD products from a brand that values purity. The quality of hemp CBD oil and other natural ingredients — as well as transparency as to what exactly is in your CBD oil product — are some of the key things to look for in a CBD brand.’’

He explained: “As a manufacturer, supplier and distributor of Full Spectrum CBD Oil UK, Hemp Point prides itself on its quality organic pesticide and GMO free products. Using organically grown hemp plants
from EU-certified seeds and a bespoke extraction process, the cannabinoids, nutrients and antioxidants are preserved for superior purity in every batch. Hemp Point’s hemp products are organically grown at the company’s very own farm in Italy.’’

He added: “The best way to ensure that your CBD experience is safe and of the highest quality, is to shop for CBD products with the same qualities as those in our above list.’’

CBD oil strength

Understanding the strength of your CBD products is key
Understanding the strength of your CBD products is key

Users of CBD products, especially new users, sometimes find themselves struggling to figure out how strong a CBD product really is from the information on the label. Sometimes it’s not just as straightforward as reading the number of milligrams.

500mg, 1000mg, 5%, 10% – these are all examples of the kind of figures that are given on the labels of CBD products. But what do they mean when you’re trying to determine the strength of a product?

What often confuses people with this milligram figure is they assume that this alone is the strength of the product, but it really isn’t, so understanding the true strength of the CBD product you use is really important.

This is because there’s something else that must be taken into account – the volume of the product container. No-one really thinks about this but there are a range of typical bottle sizes that CBD oil is sold in – 10ml, 30ml, even 100ml.

For example if you have a 10ml bottle of CBD Oil which has 1000mg stated on the label, and a 30ml bottle that is also stated as 1000mg, then these two bottles actually have different strengths despite containing the same amount of CBD.

Drop for drop the 30ml bottle is only 1/3 as strong as the 10ml bottle. Yes they both contain the same overall amount of cannabinoids, but if you measure your dose in drops like most of us, then you’re only getting 1/3 the amount of CBD when using say 5 drops of the 30ml product versus 5 drops of the 10ml size product.

In other words, the same amount of CBD has been diluted into a much larger volume of carrier oil, so each drop contains less.

Confusing? It certainly is! So how can we get a true measure of CBD oil strength? This is why another metric is also very important and is given by some suppliers (including Hemp Point) on the label – a percentage.

Here is our handy conversion table to calculate the percent from the mg of CBD on the label and the bottle size. Using this table you can find and compare the percentage concentration of two different bottles that just give the strength as a milligram value. All you need to know is the milligram total and bottle volume from the labels.

(*You’re unlikely to find any oil that is 60% strength, it’s very hard to dissolve that amount of CBD in the given volume of carrier oil.)

So in summary, if you already measure your doses by calculating the exact milligrams of CBD that you’re taking then you don’t have to worry about percentages because you’ll already be adjusting your dose with stronger or weaker CBD products by taking a lesser or greater volume of the product respectively.

But most people measure their doses in drops, droppers, or millilitres and if you do that then the percentage concentration is crucial to be aware of, otherwise you might be taking a larger or smaller dose of CBD in milligrams than you intended.

Adding to their already successful range of CBD oils, CBD capsules, CBD topicals, and Hemp Superfoods, Hemp Point has recently launched a 30% Full Spectrum High Strength CBD Oil.
