I’ll be providing you with a build for the snow ship, known as the Vanguard, which is the sturdiest ship in Skull and Bones. It’s designed to withstand heavy attack and is particularly effective in battles where you might otherwise face defeat due to the high level of damage inflicted.
About The Snow Ship
The snow ship, classified as a tank vessel, boasts the unique perk of tenacity. This ability allows for the recovery of Brace Strength by 4% per second while bracing, extending the duration of brace significantly. Moreover, it enhances Brace Strength by 50% and Brace Strength Recovery by 150%, enabling the ship to withstand successive enemy assaults effortlessly.
To illustrate the significant difference in resilience, consider the Snow’s Brace Strength of 25,000 compared to the Brigantine’s mere 8,000. Additionally, the snow ship boasts 10,000 more health points, although it is marginally slower than the Brigantine.
In terms of speed, the snow ship typically maintains a trimming speed of 13 knots, performing admirably even against the wind. However, its speed usually ranges between 11 and 13 knots.
Furthermore, the snow ship offers a substantial cargo hold with 5 weapon slots, although only 4 furniture slots. Achieving a rank 11 ship status with the snow requires exceptional weaponry due to its demanding nature.
Before delving into this build of Skull and Bones, I recommend enabling certain settings within the game interface for an enhanced gaming experience. These settings include enabling behavior icons and status effect icons, which provide valuable insights during combat scenarios.
Weapons
Let’s start off with the weapons. Now, the weapons are going to be overpowered, and you’re going to buy them. The first I want to talk with is the Twin Winch Ballista. You can put whatever you want on the front. This can be the ultimate sniper and the finest ballista available in the entire game.
It comes with Double Draw, so you can increase your damage. For the Piercing II, it also has weak point damage as well. So when you’re facing off against bosses or any ship, you’ll get a little bit more damage. Alternatively, you can get this Skull and Bones Items for sale from the Black Market for 4,400 of Sovereigns.
Moving forward, let’s discuss our port and starboard weapons. We’ll be equipping the Zamzama III, which essentially functions as the shotgun of the game. This weapon will inflict burning damage as well.
However, it requires close proximity to the target. Fortunately, as a tank, we’re well-equipped to handle close combat without fearing damage. You can also purchase this weapon from the Black Market.
Now, turning our attention to the Stern, we have 2 options. We can opt for the Scurlock’s Lone Nines, a long-range weapon strategically placed at the back. Alternatively, you can choose the Torn Sails, another long-range option for hitting opponents from behind. Both of these can be acquired from either the Black Market or complete the Scurlock’s main quest to obtain the Scurlock.
Regarding our auxiliary weapon, you have the liberty to install whatever suits your preference, whether it’s Mortars or Rockets. The choice of is entirely yours. You can get any of them by spending some Skull and Bones Silver.
Armor
With the weapons out of the way, let’s now delve into the armor Skull and Bones. Firstly, I will pick the Black Prince. The Black Prince proves invaluable as it offers a significant advantage: when your health drops below 30%, it boosts your damage output by 50%.
This enhancement can be particularly advantageous in dire situations. You can acquire the Black Prince from the Black Market for 450 Sovereigns.
Furniture
Now, shifting our focus to the furniture, this aspect is crucial. The Water Tank significantly reduces crew stamina depletion by 50%, while Bracing enhances Stamina Recovery by 20%.
This setup is particularly beneficial because, with the Snow Ship, we essentially function as a tank. So we’re going to use these set to improve to our advantage. You can also buy Skull and Bones Items from IGGM.com according to your needs.
For furniture slot number 2, we’ll opt for Front Powder Kegs I to amplify the damage output of our Ballista weapon.
Moving on to furniture number 3, Lightened Mast I will be our choice, enhancing acceleration, which compensates for the ship’s relatively slower speed – a preference of mine.
Lastly, for furniture number 4, we’ll select Double-planked Hull II to bolster our maximum hull health, aligning with our tanking strategy. Additional health always proves beneficial.
Alternatively, you can switch out your third and fourth furniture and get more damage, 10% to either side of your ship. But you will have to buy these blueprints for 300 Gold. Totally up to you how you want to build that.
Conclusion
In combat, utilizing torpedoes followed by Rockets and Flooding Demi-Cannons can effectively deal damage and apply debilitating effects to enemy ships. Proper utilization of bracing commands is crucial for mitigating damage received.
Overall, the snow ship’s durability and damage output make it a formidable choice for challenging encounters, particularly when outnumbered or facing formidable opponents.
